Trading Disclaimer
Read this before using Trading OS. Last updated May 12, 2026.
Trading OS is a journal + analytics tool. It is not investment advice, not a broker, not a signal service. Nothing in the app — including AI coaching, statistics, or strategy suggestions — tells you what to buy or sell. Your trades are yours alone.
Trading is risky
You can lose money. You can lose more than you started with. The majority of retail traders lose. Past performance — yours or anyone else's — doesn't predict the future.
Hypothetical / simulated results (backtests, replays, what-if scenarios) don't reflect live trading. They miss slippage, latency, commissions, emotional decisions, and the way you act when real money is on the line.
We're not your financial advisor
Our AI coaches (Journal Coach, Risk Manager, Strategy Analyst) spot patterns in your trade history. They observe — they don't recommend. They can be wrong. They can miss context you have. Use their output as one input, not as gospel.
We are not licensed advisors, broker-dealers, RIAs, CTAs, or members of FINRA, SIPC, NFA, or SEC. We don't manage your money. We don't take custody of it. We never see your broker account credentials unless you choose to integrate (and even then, we read trades — we don't place them).
Prop firm evaluations
We support tracking prop firm evals across multiple providers. We are not affiliated with most of them unless explicitly disclosed on the changelog or a future prop firms page. Each prop firm has its own rules, fees, payout structures, and disqualification criteria — read them carefully before you pay for an evaluation. Our eval-tracking is best-effort and may not match every prop firm's exact ruleset.
AI can be wrong
We use large language models (Claude by Anthropic, Whisper by OpenAI). They hallucinate. They make confident-sounding mistakes. Always sanity-check AI output against your own judgment.
Statistical tests use real formulas (Wilson confidence intervals, Sharpe / Sortino, expectancy, etc.) — but small sample sizes produce unreliable results. A 60% win rate over 5 trades means nothing. Sample size matters more than win rate.
Backtesting + historical analysis
Any backtesting features (planned post-launch) use historical price data and your rules. Real trading involves slippage, partial fills, broker outages, news shocks, and the emotional decisions a backtest never captures. Treat backtest results as a ceiling, not a floor, on live performance.
Your data, your input
Trades you log are stored as you enter them. If you mistype a price, R-value, or instrument, our analytics reflect that mistake. Verified / synced trades follow the data source — if the source is wrong, our display is wrong.
