A trading journal built around one loop: log the trade, get it checked against your rules, go back over it, and see whether your edge is real. Nothing in it scores your P&L — the numbers it gives you describe your process.

Five short steps, about two minutes: your timezone, what you trade most, whether you trade a prop firm evaluation, how we should keep in touch, and a few starter strategies. Nothing is locked in. Change any of it in Settings, or run it again from Settings → Redo setup.

Yes. You can log any of them and the journal, rules and analytics work the same way. It is built and tuned first for futures traders (ES, NQ and the rest), and time-of-day analysis assumes US Eastern time.

Press Log Trade — the button sits at the bottom right of every screen. The required part is market, symbol, direction, entry, stop and result — about thirty seconds. Entry time, exit time and exit price sit right below the result: all optional, but both times together power the hold-time analysis on the Timing tab. Everything else is under More fields.

Yes, on every plan. At the top of the Log Trade page, upload a screenshot of your broker's fill or trade table (up to 5 MB). The AI reads the fields into the form and you check them before saving — nothing saves on its own. It is tuned for Tradovate and NinjaTrader layouts. If it misreads yours, send us the screenshot and we will improve it.

Yes, on every plan. Journal → Import takes a CSV export from Tradovate or NinjaTrader and detects the format for you. Imported trades are marked as imported and stay editable.

Not yet. Automatic sync is the biggest thing on the roadmap, starting with ProjectX (TopstepX), then Rithmic, Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Interactive Brokers. Until then, the screenshot upload and CSV import cover it.

Not in the app yet. It is on the roadmap.

Log it once and pick the other accounts under copy to accounts. Trading OS treats it as one decision placed in several accounts: your rules, streak and statistics count it once, while each account still gets its own P&L. One losing idea copied into five accounts is one loss, not five.

Live is your own money. Prop firm is an evaluation or funded account — the account is simulated, but the pass and the payout are real, so it counts. Practice (a demo or paper account) and Replay (bar replay or backtest) are kept in your journal but left out of Edge Score and the review queue, because a simulated fill is not evidence of an edge.

Missed trades are setups you saw and did not take. Log them from the Journal and the Behaviour tab shows what hesitation is costing you. Daily notes are the third journal tab: one short note a day — your bias, your plan, and one line about something that matters beyond the chart — graded after the close. Every past note opens in place, and every 10th note shows you an earlier one to read back against.

A 0–100 answer to one question: are your results distinguishable from luck yet? It combines sample size (25 points), how confident we can be in your win rate (25), your expectancy in R (30) and consistency (20). 70 or above is Edge Locked. A small sample keeps it low on purpose, however good the results look. Practice and Replay trades are left out.

The share of your trades in the last 30 days that were clean — no hard-rule violation, and no mistake you tagged yourself. Tagging your own mistake counts against it deliberately: honesty should cost something, or the number means nothing. 90% or more is on track.

Five defaults are on from the start, and you can switch any of them off: no re-entry within 10 minutes of a loss, more than five trades in a day, trades placed after 3pm local time, an oversized position in a prop account, and three losses in a row. Add your own rules in plain English. The Risk Manager checks every trade you log against all of them and shows its flags on the trade. Only violations of rules you mark as hard count against compliance.

Roughly 30 on one strategy before anything is more than noise, 100 before it is convincing. Below that the app still shows you the number, but marks it as a small sample. Some analyses — hold time, for example — refuse to name a pattern until they have enough trades on each side.

No. P&L is shown, never scored. Edge Score, compliance and your logging streak all describe process, because the trader who followed the plan and lost today is in better shape than the one who broke it and won.

Two agents run on every trade you log, automatically, on every plan, with no limit. The Risk Manager checks the trade against your rules. The Journal Coach reads the trade and tells you what it sees — honestly, including when it is not good news. The Strategy Analyst runs when you press Analyze on a strategy (Analytics → Performance) and is limited to 10 calls a day on Free. Choose how the coach talks to you in Preferences → Coaching: Encouraging, Balanced or Direct.

No. Your trades are sent to Anthropic's Claude API only to produce your feedback, and Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train models on that data. We do not train models on it either, and we do not sell it.

In Settings → Eval profile, pick your firm and account size from 182 templates across 59 firms — or enter the rules yourself. The Eval Bar on your dashboard then shows your buffer and drawdown as you log. When you pass, open the account and press Passed — move to the next stage. The firm's own dashboard is always the final word on pass or fail.

Yes. Each account keeps its own rules, buffer and stage. The eval simulator runs your own trades through thousands of simulated evaluations to estimate your odds of passing.

Free is the whole journal: unlimited trades and strategies, screenshot upload and CSV import, both automatic AI agents on every trade, rules, Edge Score, compliance, all four analytics tabs, and a full export. Pro is $29 a month or $290 a year and adds two things: unlimited AI calls, and the Stat Lab — the statistical tests that check whether an edge is real. Nothing about your own data is behind the paywall.

Upgrade while founding pricing is open and your price stays $29 a month ($290 a year) when it rises for everyone else. There is no countdown and no cap.

Upgrade from Pricing; payment runs through Stripe's checkout. To update your card, download invoices or cancel, go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then you move to Free and keep every trade. To switch between monthly and annual, email hello@usetradingos.com.

Not as a rule — cancel any time and you keep Pro until the period ends. We do refund if we charged you wrongly, if you bought by accident and tell us within 24 hours, if the product was broken long enough that you could not use it, or in a case of card fraud. Only you. There are no public profiles.

Journal → Export all (CSV) downloads every trade you have logged, with every field, archived trades included. It is free on every plan.

Settings → Account & security → Security → Delete account removes your sign-in. To have your trades erased from our database as well, email hello@usetradingos.com from your account's email address and we will confirm when it is done.

Check the Journal first — it may have saved. If it is not there, log it again. If it keeps happening, email hello@usetradingos.com with a screenshot of what you saw.

Check three things. Filters: the journal and analytics respect your date range, mode and account filters. Mode: Practice and Replay trades are left out of Edge Score on purpose. Duplicates: importing the same CSV twice creates copies — archive them from the Journal. Still wrong? Email us with a screenshot and the number you expected.
